Cisco IOS XE Software是美国思科（Cisco）公司的一套为其网络设备开发的操作系统。REST API是其中的一个实时通信API。 Cisco IOS XE Software中的REST API中存在授权问题漏洞，该漏洞源于程序没有充分的对发送到REST API的请求执行身份验证。远程攻击者可通过发送恶意的请求利用该漏洞绕过身份验证检测，并使用API执行特权操作。

A vulnerability in the Cisco IOS XE Software REST API could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to bypass API authorization checks and use the API to perform privileged actions on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to insufficient authorization checks for requests that are sent to the REST API of the affected software. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a malicious request to an affected device via the REST API. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to selectively bypass authorization checks for the REST API of the affected software and use the API to perform privileged actions on an affected device.
