ContentServ contains a flaw that may allow an attacker to carry out an SQL injection attack. The issue is due to the 'index.php' script not properly sanitizing user-supplied input to the 'StoryID' parameter. This may allow an attacker to inject or manipulate SQL queries in the back-end database.
Upgrade to version 4.2 or higher, as it has been reported to fix this vulnerability. ContentServe has released a hotfix for some older versions. It is also possible to correct the flaw by implementing the following workaround: set the open_base_dir directive properly, make use of safe_mode settings and set allow_url_fopen to Off
