[原文]Gaim 0.57 stores sensitive information in world-readable and group-writable files in the /tmp directory, which allows local users to access MSN web email accounts of other users who run Gaim by reading authentication information from the files.
Gaim contains a flaw that may lead to an unauthorized information disclosure. The issue is triggered when Gaim is used to check web mail on startup, world readable files are created in /tmp which will disclose sensitive information, including authentication credentials resulting in a loss of confidentiality.
Upgrade to version 0.58 or higher, as it has been reported to fix this vulnerability. An upgrade is required as there are no known workarounds.
