Microsoft IIS contains a flaw that may allow a remote denial of service. The issue is triggered when submitting a WebDAV 'PROPFIND' request containing numerous semicolons to the server. This will cause the IIS service to fail and restart, resulting in a loss of availability.
Currently, there are no known workarounds or upgrades to correct this issue. However, Microsoft has released a patch to address this vulnerability.
