Mesa versions prior to 3.3-14 contain a flaw that may allow a malicious user to perform a symlink attack. The issue is triggered when a race condition in the Utah-glx component occurs. It is possible that the flaw may allow an attacker to overwrite files resulting in a loss of integrity, and/or availability.
Upgrade to version 3.3-14.1 or higher, as it has been reported to fix this vulnerability. An upgrade is required as there are no known workarounds.
