Cisco 340-series Aironet AP WEP Encryption Implementation Weakness
Remote / Network Access
Loss of Confidentiality
Cisco 340-series Aironet AP contains a flaw related to the use of the subset of the IV space for WEP encryption as it does not use 6 bits out of the 24 available. The result is a weakness in the protection of communication and makes the collection of pads through plaintext attacks trivial. This flaw may lead to a loss of confidentiality.
Currently, there are no known upgrades, patches, or workarounds available to correct this issue.
