[原文]libedit searches for the .editrc file in the current directory instead of the user's home directory, which may allow local users to execute arbitrary commands by installing a modified .editrc in another directory.
FreeBSD contains a flaw that may allow a malicious user to gain access to unauthorized privileges. The issue is triggered when libedit reads a .editrc configuration file from the current directory without checking permissions on the file. A malicious user can create a .editrc file and execute arbitrary commands at a privileged level when libedit is run. This flaw may lead to a loss of integrity.
Upgrade to version dated after the correction date, as it has been reported to fix this vulnerability. It is also possible to correct the flaw by implementing the following workaround(s): do not interactively run utilities which link against libedit from directories which can be written to by other users.
